EXPLANATIONS
This site is a sort of online journal. I update it whenever the whim strikes me, which maxes out at about 4 times a month. It's intent is to provide those back home in the States a means of knowing I still breathe when sending out multiple e-mails would be impossible.
I'm presently in in the great town of Silistra, Bulgaria teaching English for my third year in the Peace Corps. Bulgaria, despite popular opinion, is in Europe, not South America. It's between Greece, Turkey, Romania, Macedonia, and bits o' Yugoslavia.
Silistra is a town of around 30,000 on the Danube and Romanian border. It's small, cozy, and everyone knows each other.
In a completely unrelated bit of information, the opinions on this site are my own, and don't reflect at all the opinions of the Peace Corps or the U.S. Government. They have a few too many opinions floating around anyway, they really don't need mine.
For those not familiar with the Rob Young Experience, a brief bio. I am a 6'7, 24 year-old tall guy recently graduated from UCLA. I lived in Alaska during those halcyon years of my life when I went through the horrors of middle school and the joys of high school. Thus you get the (still probably not-that-great) title of the site.
If I must impose a role on myself, I guess I'm libertarian-ish. I'm generally right in the middle, but I tend to lean left morally and right politically. So I imagine that's what you can expect out of me, if you want to generalize.
