Why is it that every time I shave, every 7 or 8 days, it happens to be the coldest day of that week. For example, today was -21C (-6F), but weather.com says it felt like -28C (-18F). That's really freakin cold. I thought our blood would freeze or something at that temp. Beards really are helpful in keeping your face warm, and this morning I shaved mine off. Good call. Additionally, I think I left my gloves an hat in Germany, this weekend I'm going to a market to buy some new ones. I seriously thought my ears would get frostbite today.
The reason I shave only once a week is that 1. I'm lazy, 2. I have this crazy opinion that it makes me look better, and3. I only have a half sink, that I can't even put my face over. The main problem is that the shelf is directly over the sink, and there is not enough room to squeeze my head in. I have to cup water in my hands and bring it out from the sink to splash on my face. End result, the entire bathroom floor and all the pipes sticking out get covered in water. This is a big hassle, and it just reinforces my subjective evaluation of reasons one and two.
But that one day always falls on the seasonal record low. This should be an addendum to the Russian Murphy's law.
